Defense production and Ukraine’s accession to the EU: Zelensky and Tusk held a conversation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
He reported this on his Telegram channel.
“We managed to discuss a lot: our work for peace, joint defense production, support for Ukrainians, and the negotiation process for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union,” the president noted.
Zelenskyy informed Tusk about his conversation with Trump and his European colleagues. Diplomatic opportunities were also discussed.
“Ukraine, Poland, and other European nations equally need strong foundations for their security and independence. Everyone needs a reliable peace. And I am grateful for your willingness to help on this path,” Zelenskyy said.
During the conversation, the politicians also discussed the situation with the negotiation process for Ukraine’s membership in the EU.
“Donald and I agreed that the first negotiation cluster for Ukraine and Moldova should be opened simultaneously. Ukraine and Moldova started this path together and should continue along it in the same way,” the President of Ukraine noted.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump informed European leaders of his intention to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin next week , and then to organize a trilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This could be the first direct dialogue of this format since the start of the full-scale war.
