Ukrainian businessman and founder of Monobank Oleg Gorohovsky said that massive Russian shelling of energy infrastructure in Ukraine is causing “a huge demand for charging stations.” He attributes this demand to the onset of power outages, including emergency outages in some regions.

He wrote about this in Telegram .

As you know, the last few days in Ukraine have been marked by powerful strikes on the energy infrastructure by Russia. As a result, emergency power outage schedules have been introduced in several regions, which has significantly complicated the lives of citizens and businesses during the dark hours or during peak loads.

“Because of the Russian Federation, we are seeing huge demand for charging stations again,” noted Gorohovsky.

He emphasizes that people try to have means of autonomous power supply for their devices during outages.

At the same time, Monobank’s online store Monomarket, which is associated with the bank, already sells charging stations at price levels that illustrate what the consumer is looking for. It is worth noting that the prices listed are minimums , and they may be higher at other retailers.

When choosing a charging station, you should pay attention to:

  1. Rated and peak power – whether it can withstand the load of your appliances (for example, a refrigerator or a tool).
  2. Battery capacity (Wh or mAh) is how much energy it can store.
  3. Battery type and cycle life (LiFePO4, etc.) are important for durability.
  4. Number of outputs (AC, USB, car port, etc.) — to charge multiple devices simultaneously.
  5. UPS functions, switching speed, solar charging support – for autonomous operation in outage mode.
  6. Dimensions, weight, portability – if you plan to carry or use it outside the home.
  7. Availability of warranty, service, compatibility with existing systems.
