The Russian dictator’s aide, Yuri Ushakov, has allowed the withdrawal of Russian occupation forces from Donbas and their replacement by the Russian National Guard. He noted that this would be part of a “demilitarized zone” where Ukrainian and Russian troops would not remain.

This is reported by Russian media.

Ushakov repeated the Kremlin’s traditional narrative that the territory of Donbas will be captured by Russia “sooner or later.” He specified that this could happen either through negotiations or militarily.

“That is, a ceasefire can only come after the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops,” said an aide to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

According to Ushakov, after this there will be neither Ukrainian nor Russian troops in the territory of Donbas.

“Yes, but there will be the Russian Guard, there will be our police, there will be everything needed to maintain order and organize life,” said Yuriy Ushakov.

He also noted that “everything else will depend on this,” referring to the further development of the situation in the region.

It was previously reported thatUkraine is considering withdrawing troops from Donbas , but only if Russia takes a similar step. This approach involves preserving the territory for Ukraine and parallel negotiations on security guarantees.

The day before, it became known that Russia refused to accept the 28-point peace plan proposed by the United States , which included conditions for freezing the front line, control over the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, and security guarantees for Ukraine. The Kremlin rejected seven key provisions, emphasizing its own demands for territories and the future security architecture.

By the way, representatives of the United States, Ukraine, France, Germany, and Great Britain will hold a meeting in Paris on December 13 to discuss US President Donald Trump’s peace plan.
