Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen expressed concern about the corruption scandal in Ukraine.
This was reported by a correspondent of “European Truth”.
The Danish department will await clarifications regarding issues related to the Fire Point company. The head of the ministry added that he is confident that the factory, located in Denmark, is not involved in corruption.
“There is no connection with the plant in Denmark, as Danish law must be followed. Therefore, I have no concerns about the creation of Fire Point in Denmark. But, of course, I am concerned about the current discussion about the corruption scandal in Ukraine,” he stressed.
According to him, Denmark tracks the flow of funds it allocates for aid — there are external auditors who conduct monitoring.
Troels Lund Poulsen noted that he wanted to discuss “this issue” at a meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, which was scheduled for December 1.
Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine launched an investigation into the activities of Fire Point , a manufacturer of the Flamingo missile and attack drones. Detectives suspected that businessman Timur Mindich was the ultimate owner of the company.
By the way, journalists from “Schemes” identified the names of individuals whom NABU detectives reported suspicious to within the framework of the investigation into corruption in the energy sector, among them is Timur Mindich.
