Kyiv and Copenhagen have launched a new program, under which Denmark is allocating an additional $375 million for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.

The Ukraine Transition Program for 2025–2028 has a budget of 2.8 billion Danish kroner, or 375 million US dollars.

The funds will be used to rebuild critical infrastructure, provide humanitarian assistance, support for veterans and internally displaced persons, develop businesses, green transition in energy and transport, and continue reforms.

“We and Denmark already have positive experience of cooperation in Mykolaiv. Today, this format is reaching the national level. And I am confident that in the next three years, millions of Ukrainians will receive tangible results — from a stable supply of water and heat to new opportunities for community development,” noted the head of the department, Oleksiy Kuleba.

About 60% of the entire budget will be directed to aid the Mykolaiv region, the remaining funds will be directed to other regions affected by the war, where schools and hospitals will be restored, and electricity and water supply networks will be modernized.

“The program also provides for the development of democratic institutions, transparency and accountability of the authorities, and the active participation of civil society,” the press service of the Ministry of Development added.

It was previously announced that the European Commission will provide 40 million euros, which will be used for humanitarian assistance for Ukrainians.
