Ukraine will receive 15,000 long-range artillery shells from Denmark. Part of this shipment has already arrived in the country, and the rest will be delivered in the near future.

This was announced by Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov.

According to him, recently the Ukrainian side has been asking its partners to focus on supplying long-range ammunition. Due to changes on the front and the active use of drones, such shells have become much more important for the work of artillery.

As a result, Denmark agreed to change its approach to aid and redirect some of the funds previously planned to be spent on shorter-range ammunition to the purchase of long-range artillery rounds.

As Fedorov explained, this decision was made after analyzing the needs of the Ukrainian military. Long-range artillery allows for strikes on the enemy at a greater distance and reduces risks for the calculations themselves.

The minister thanked Denmark for its prompt response and emphasized that partners are increasingly taking into account the real needs of the front when forming new assistance packages.

Denmark became one of the first countries to agree to quickly review the format of support and direct additional resources specifically to the ammunition that the Ukrainian Defense Forces currently need.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Navy received another mine countermeasures ship from the Kingdom of the Netherlands within the framework of the Maritime Capabilities Coalition . The transferred minesweeper “Genichesk” became the fifth mine countermeasures ship in the Ukrainian fleet.

As a reminder, Sweden has transferred specialized equipment to Ukraine for servicing military airfields . The new equipment should improve runway maintenance and ensure uninterrupted aviation operations.
