Denys Bigus was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: what is known

On Monday, September 22, it became known that the head of the Bihus.Info project, Denys Bigus, was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The journalist reported this in his video message.

As Bigus said, the Vinnytsia CCC made him “an offer he couldn’t refuse.” He emphasized that the Bihus.Info editorial team would continue its work even without his direct participation.

“After my release, I was absolutely convinced that I would be mobilized in a few months and treated civilian life as an unscheduled vacation, filling it with military tasks as much as possible, periodically wondering why this vacation was delayed. So I was mobilized. I never had armor,” Bigus noted.

It is known that during the full-scale invasion, the journalist was already serving in the defense ranks: he worked as a UAV operator, adjusted artillery fire, conducted reconnaissance for the SBU’s Internal Affairs Directorate and the State Security Service, and even participated in the storming of Lukyanivka.

At the end of 2023, he retired from service with the Patrol Police, but continued to cooperate with military counterintelligence as a freelancer.

As a reminder, the publication “Narodna Pravda” published a video in which, allegedly, journalists from the “Bihus.Info” project are using drugs at a New Year’s corporate party in a suburban complex outside Kyiv. The news item named one of the journalists, emphasizing that the investigations they are conducting cannot be trusted because of their lifestyle.
