Law enforcement officers detained the deputy commander of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky.
This is reported by sources of “Ukrainian Truth”.
The brigade stated that they are fully cooperating with the pre-trial investigation and are interested in establishing all the circumstances of the case.
“The brigade command fully supports and in every way facilitates the conduct of the pre-trial investigation. We are interested in a quick, comprehensive and objective establishment of all the circumstances of the case,” the unit noted.
At the same time, the brigade emphasized the principle of the presumption of innocence and urged not to spread unverified information.
According to sources, this is Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Bobrovsky. He is suspected of possibly extorting a bribe for transferring servicemen from one unit to another.
The Land Forces said they could not disclose details of the investigation, but assured that they were assisting the investigation.
Law enforcement agencies have not officially commented on the detention.
At the same time, the brigade emphasized that the unit continues to perform combat missions and hold positions in the Kharkiv direction.
