Despite active assaults, the enemy is stuck in urban battles: what is the current situation in Pokrovsk?

The Ukrainian Defense Forces stated that Russian occupation forces, having failed to capture Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, have intensified propaganda.

This was reported by the press service of the 7th Corps of the State Security Service.

The situation in the Pokrovska area remains difficult, as Russian troops are actively storming the city.

At the same time, Ukrainian servicemen continue to defend Pokrovsk and restrain the pressure of the occupiers.

“The enemy is tied up in urban battles for Pokrovsk and currently cannot capture the city with the help of weapons. Therefore, the enemy is trying to intensify propaganda and disinformation, manipulating fictions about the alleged “capture of Pokrovsk”. Both openly and covertly,” the military explained.

In some places, the Russian army tries to operate near logistical routes, but the Defense Forces eliminate the occupiers there.

Currently, logistics in the Pokrovsko-Myrnogradsk agglomeration area remains difficult, although work is underway to expand logistics corridors.

In particular, several personnel rotations were conducted near Myrnograd over the past week.

As a reminder, the General Staff reported that units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold difficult sections of the front – Pokrovsk, Vovchansk, Kupyansk, and Russian statements about the “capture” of these cities do not correspond to reality.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the main tasks of the Ukrainian military in Pokrovsk are to gradually take control of certain areas , support and protect existing logistical routes.

By the way, the situation in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, remains difficult. Russian troops are trying to create conditions there for a complete encirclement of the city .

As is known, Russian troops are actively strengthening their positions in Pokrovsk and accumulating resources capable of conducting surveillance and striking the entire settlement.
