Seven Oschadbank collectors, who were previously detained in Hungary, have been deported from the country.
This is reported by Index with reference to the National Tax and Customs Service of Hungary.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred after Hungarian law enforcement officers detained a group of debt collectors. After checking, they decided to expel them from the country.
Official details of the reasons for the detention and deportation are not yet disclosed. It is also unknown whether all seven collectors have returned to Ukraine.
As a reminder, Foreign Minister Andriy Szybiga stated that Hungarian authorities in Budapest detained seven Ukrainian citizens — employees of Oschadbank — and seized the money they were transporting.
It should be noted that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited the country’s anti-terrorist center on the day the Ukrainian tax collection vehicles transiting through Hungary to Ukraine were seized . Later that day, security forces from this unit seized tax collection vehicles with currency and gold.
As reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Ukrainians refrain from traveling to Hungary.
