On Tuesday, May 12, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court will consider the issue of a preventive measure for the former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, who is suspected of money laundering.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.

The meeting is scheduled for 4:00 PM at the VAKS premises at 41 Beresteyskyi Avenue in Kyiv.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported that they will ask the court to choose a preventive measure for Yermak in the form of detention with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of 180 million hryvnias.

This was stated by the head of the SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko during a briefing.

“The prosecutor’s office will request to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of UAH 180 million,” said Klymenko.

According to the investigation, the former head of the OP was informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – legalization or laundering of property obtained by criminal means.

As reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced suspicions against six more participants in the criminal proceedings in the “Midas” case regarding the legalization of property obtained through criminal means in particularly large amounts.
