Hungary has temporarily stopped diesel supplies to Ukraine. Supplies will not resume until the Druzhba oil pipeline is operational again.

This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, Telex reports.

According to the minister, Ukraine is allegedly engaging in “political blackmail” that has caused disruptions in oil supplies to Hungary. He stressed that technically the pipeline is ready for operation, and there are no obstacles to the resumption of oil supplies.

At the same time, the minister assured that Hungary itself will not be left without fuel. The supply of crude oil to the country is stable, and the reserves will last for about three months. In addition, from mid-March, Hungary will be able to receive Russian oil by sea.

As a reminder, the European Commission is demanding that Ukraine set clear deadlines for repairing the Druzhba pipeline. The pipeline supplied Russian oil to Europe and was damaged at the beginning of the year.
