Digital passes for travel during curfew will appear in Kyiv

A system of digital special passes will be launched in Kyiv from 2026, allowing vehicles to move during curfew hours. The decision was made at a meeting of the Kyiv City Defense Council.

As reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration, together with the 12th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they are to develop an order and procedure for implementing a new mechanism. This involves the creation of an information and communication system through which digital passes for transport will be managed.

The KMVA will also appeal to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration with a proposal to implement a similar system in the region.

Currently, the curfew in the capital lasts from midnight to 5 a.m. Only representatives of the security and defense sectors and workers of the city’s critical infrastructure use passes.

As a reminder, the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMMA) has developed a new mechanism for ground transport movement during air alerts in response to requests from residents of the capital.

We also wrote that Kyiv plans to review the procedure for issuing, controlling, and issuing permits for movement during curfew.
