Digital transparency: Ukrainians will see in “Diya” who is viewing their data in the registers
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced that Ukrainians will soon be able to see who is viewing their data in state registers and for what purpose. A corresponding government resolution has already been adopted.
He wrote about this in Telegram .
According to the decision, a data access monitoring subsystem will be launched, which will record every fact of information exchange between state bodies. Users will receive notifications in the “Diya” application indicating who accessed their personal data, when, and for what purpose.
Fedorov emphasized that the security of citizens’ information is the basis of a transparent and convenient digital state. According to him, the new system will ensure openness in interaction with data and will become an additional safeguard against possible abuses by officials.
At the same time, the Ministry of Digital Affairs clarified that the notifications will not apply to cases related to the investigation of crimes, counterintelligence, the fight against terrorism, or pre-trial investigations.
The launch date of the new functionality in “Diya” will be announced later.
