Director of language school detained in Khmelnytskyi: suspected of corrupting female students

In Khmelnytskyi, law enforcement officers detained a 58-year-old director of a foreign language center. Investigators suspect him of molesting two underage students and are checking information about other possible victims.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the investigation, the man, who also taught English, was left alone with the 13- and 14-year-old students during classes, started conversations of a sexual nature, asked intimate questions, and discussed their sex lives.

Investigators also found that he communicated with one of the girls on social media and sent voice messages with indecent proposals. In another episode, according to the investigation, the man touched the genitals of a female student.

Prosecutors informed the 58-year-old director of the language center of suspicion of corrupting an underage and minor student under Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to law enforcement officials, the actions against one victim lasted from 2018 to 2020, and against the other – during 2023-2025.

The investigation found that the girls had not contacted law enforcement for a long time due to fear of condemnation. They dared to talk about their experiences after they learned about another criminal case against the center’s director. In that case, he is accused of intentionally possessing child pornography.

According to the victims, they created a closed community, which includes about 50 girls and women. Some of them have already filed complaints with the police, while others are acting as witnesses in the case.

Law enforcement officers are currently identifying all possible victims and investigating other episodes related to sexual violence against female students.

The court is expected to impose a preventive measure on the suspect in the near future. If proven guilty, the man faces up to eight years in prison.

Previously, “Pryamiy” reported that in Kyiv, law enforcement officers exposed a woman and her roommate, who are suspected of storing and distributing pornographic materials, including those involving children.

Also in Dnipro, police reported suspicions of a 60-year-old man who sought out children and took them to deserted places, where he forced them to imitate sexual acts in various ways, recording everything in photos. Over the course of several years, 17 children became victims of the perpetrator.
