“Diya” has expanded its online marriage service: who will be able to remarry?

“Diya” continues to expand its online marriage service. From now on, people who have lost their husband or wife and decided to start a new family can remarry through the application.
This was reported by the application’s press service.
It is noted that previously, in such a situation, a marriage application could be submitted only after a personal visit to the DRACS.
However, now you can do it in Actions in a few steps.
If the DRACS has a death certificate for one of the spouses, the application will automatically check this data. After that, the user will be able to submit an application and marry their new chosen one online.
“Fewer paper obstacles at an important moment in life. More opportunities to start a new story,” the department noted.
It was previously reported that married couples without joint minor children were given the opportunity to dissolve their marriage through the “Diya” application. The service is available only with the mutual consent of both parties, and the marriage is dissolved a month after the application is submitted.
In addition, in the first half of 2026, 40% of couples in Ukraine used the digital service “Diya” to register their marriage. For comparison, for the whole of 2025, 18% of couples chose the online service.
