Emergency power outages were imposed in Dnipro and the region on the morning of October 30 due to damage to power equipment from Russian attacks. Almost the entire electric transport system in the city, including trams and trolleybuses, has stopped.

This was reported by DTEK , the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration , Oleksandr Ganzha , and the mayor of Dnipro, Borys Filatov .

It is noted that as a result of Russian attacks on October 29, energy equipment in the Dnipropetrovsk region suffered serious damage.

On the morning of October 30, the head of the Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Ganzha, reported that during the night, power workers managed to restore power to some consumers. However, later, electricity went out again in Dnipro due to excessive load on the power system.

DTEK noted that, at the command of Ukrenergo, emergency shutdowns were introduced in the Dnipro River, areas adjacent to the regional center, and part of the Pavlohrad district.

Mayor Borys Filatov urged residents to stock up on food and water for at least a few days and stay home if possible. According to him, due to the lack of electricity, almost all electric transport, including the metro, trams and trolleybuses, is out of service. Only buses are operating.

Later, the Dnipro City Council’s transport department reported that as of 7:30 a.m., power supply to the metro had been partially restored. Trains run at 16-minute intervals.

Currently, energy workers are continuing restoration work.

It was previously reported that Russian forces attacked the Dnipro with a strike drone on October 29. The drone hit a dormitory at a vocational school. After the impact, a fire broke out on the top floor of the building.

In addition, the death toll in Dnipro has increased as a result of the Russian strike on the railway station on October 29. As of 1:45 p.m., 14 people are known to have died and 14 injured. Six of the injured are in serious condition.
