Drapatiy decided to transfer the fighters of “Skele” to other brigades: what is known
Organizational changes are taking place in the 425th separate assault regiment “Skelya”, in particular, servicemen are being transferred to other units of the Ground Forces. The exact number of transferred soldiers has not been confirmed, but the regiment confirmed the fact of the personnel transfer according to the decisions of the high military command.
This was reported by journalist Vasyl Pekhno and correspondent Yulia Kyrienko .
According to Kiriyenko, currently, about 2,000 “Skeli” attack aircraft have been transferred to supplement other brigades of the Ground Forces by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapaty.
At the same time, Pehnyo noted that he had no confirmation of the exact number of servicemen, but his sources confirmed the fact that the regiment’s fighters were transferred to other units.
The 425th Military District “Skelya” did not confirm or deny the information about the number of transferred servicemen. At the same time, the press service of the regiment explained that decisions on the distribution of personnel between military units fall within the competence of the higher military command.
“Organizational decisions regarding the distribution of personnel between military units fall within the competence of the high military command and are part of the management of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in wartime. The regiment carries out all orders received that determine the movement of personnel,” the 425th OSHP comment states.
The regiment noted that the “Rock” servicemen have undergone training and gained combat experience, so they can be involved in reinforcing other brigades.
“If the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decides to reinforce other brigades with them, we perceive this as a contribution of “Skela” to strengthening the entire defense of the state,” the regiment said.
At the same time, the 425th Special Operations Division emphasized that they continue to carry out combat missions in designated areas.
“The 425th separate assault regiment “Skelya” continues to perform combat missions in all designated directions. None of our units has been withdrawn from their occupied positions and has not stopped performing the assigned tasks,” the regiment’s comment reads.
According to Pehnyo, information is also currently being circulated about a possible further reorganization of “Skeli” and its transformation into an assault regiment within one of the army corps. It is currently unknown which corps may be designated.
Previously, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatiy ordered an inspection of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment after a high-profile investigation by Texty.org.ua into alleged beatings of soldiers, violence, and the use of so-called barrier detachments.
