Drapatiy outlined a new war strategy: what will change at the front
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatiy, held his first telephone conversation with the Supreme Allied Commander Europe and the Commander of the United States Armed Forces in Europe, General Alexus Hrynkevich. During the talks, the parties discussed the situation on the front, the key needs of the Ukrainian army, and further military support for Ukraine.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapaty.
According to Drapaty, he outlined his vision of Ukrainian victory and described what capabilities the Defense Forces need to achieve it.
“At the current stage of the war, we must intensify operations in various domains, prevent enemy infiltration into our defense zones, and scale up long-range and medium-range fire damage against the enemy,” he noted.
The Commander-in-Chief paid special attention to the development of army corps, emphasizing the need to increase their autonomy.
Also, according to Drapaty, the Ukrainian military continues to work to increase the losses of the Russian army and weaken the military-economic potential of the aggressor country.
“We are working to increase the lethality of enemy losses and reduce Moscow’s economic capabilities. We are using asymmetric approaches and Ukrainian technologies for this,” he emphasized.
During the conversation, Drapaty thanked Alexus Hrynkevich for his personal efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense. He also expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and the United States for military assistance under the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) program.
Under this program, European countries purchase necessary military equipment for Ukraine, including interceptor missiles for Patriot systems, which Ukraine continues to receive.
