On the evening of Monday, October 6, explosions were heard in Tyumen, Russia, after a drone attack on an industrial facility.

The incident was reported by the information center of the Tyumen region government, stating that three drones were allegedly discovered and “neutralized” on the territory of one of the enterprises in the Antipino microdistrict.

Local authorities claim that emergency services prevented the detonation, and there are no injuries. According to the official version, there were no explosions or fires, and all businesses in the area are “operating normally.”

However, reports from the scene paint a different picture. For example, the propaganda Telegram channel ASTRA, citing eyewitnesses, reported at least two explosions in the area of the oil refinery. It is in this area, near Antipino, that the Tyumen Refinery (formerly Antipinsky) is located, which is one of the key industrial facilities in the region.

Videos appeared on local social media showing fire trucks racing towards the enterprise.

The Tyumen oil refinery is located more than 2,000 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. This fact once again indicates the expansion of the geography of drone attacks deep in Russia’s rear.

As a reminder, in the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation , the main production workshop of the Kirishsky Oil Refinery completely stopped working after a powerful drone attack on the night of October 4. The fire that broke out after the hit forced the enterprise to shut down its largest processing unit, CDU-6.

It was previously reported that the operation to destroy part of the refinery’s facilities was carried out by the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine together with the Black Spark rebel movement . The plant in Kirishi has been attacked for the third time this year. Each time, the consequences for Russian oil refining become more and more painful.

Recall that Ukrainian drones caused record damage to Russia’s oil refining industry, disabling almost 38% of primary oil refining capacity.
