Drone Coalition for Ukraine Expands: Which Country Will Join?

Finland will join an international coalition to develop and supply drones to Ukraine, led by Latvia and the United Kingdom. The decision is planned to be formalized by the end of spring.
This was stated by Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkinen in an interview with the Uutissuomalainen newspaper.
According to him, the issue of participation in the initiative was considered for a long time – about two years.
“This issue was discussed last year and this year. Now I can announce that Finland will join the drone coalition this spring,” Häkkinen said.
The government is also discussing the possibility of additional funding to support Ukraine in the field of unmanned systems. Helsinki believes that this will allow for the expansion of joint assistance programs within the EU.
“Thanks to this, we will be able to significantly expand the support of Ukraine from the European Union and this operational activity,” the Minister of Defense added.
