Drone debris fell in Romania during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine, there is destruction

In Romania, on the night of April 25, debris from drones was recorded falling near the border with Ukraine during a Russian attack. The incident damaged infrastructure, but there were no injuries.
This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of Defense.
According to the agency, radars detected a group of drones near the country’s airspace. In response, NATO forces scrambled two British RAF Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets, which were carrying out an air patrol mission.
At 02:14, residents of Tulcea County were warned about an air hazard via the RO-ALERT system.
The fighters detected a target with radar at a distance of 1.5 km from Reni in Ukrainian airspace, after which the pilots were given permission to use weapons against the drones.
In the Galati district, local residents reported the fall of an unknown object. It is preliminary established that an outbuilding and an electrical pole were damaged.
Explosives disposal experts and investigation teams are working at the scene. No serious damage was reported.
“We strongly condemn Russia’s actions, which pose a threat to security in the Black Sea region and create risks for the civilian population of NATO countries,” the Romanian Ministry of Defense said.
As a reminder, on the night of April 25, the Russian army carried out a combined strike on Ukraine, using missiles of various types and strike drones. Air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 610 enemy targets.
