A drone was found near the private home of Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus in Denmark. Police closed several streets and military sappers were called in to investigate.

This is reported by the Copenhagen Post.

The incident occurred on September 16 in Gladsaxe, north of Copenhagen. Law enforcement and military sappers arrived at the scene and used a Telemax robot to inspect potentially dangerous objects.

Police later seized the drone and reported that it turned out to be amateur and did not pose a threat to local residents.

“It was an amateur drone that was deemed harmless, and there was no danger to residents of the area,” law enforcement officials said.

Bruce himself also reported that the situation is under control. Police will continue to investigate the circumstances of the drone’s appearance.

As a reminder, on September 14, a Russian frigate fired two flares at a Danish military helicopter in international waters near Gedeser. One of them flew close to the aircraft.

Earlier, Danish counterintelligence reported that Russian special services were preparing sabotage in Denmark, in particular against defense industry enterprises related to assistance to Ukraine.
