Drones and missiles attacked Russia: oil refinery, aircraft factory, and Ozon warehouse on fire

On the night of September 15, Ukrainian drones and missiles attacked a number of industrial and military facilities in Russia. The targets included Taganrog in Rostov Oblast, Syzran Oil Refinery in Samara Oblast, and the Sebryakov Cement plant in Volgograd Oblast.

In Taganrog, after a massive missile attack, the Ozon warehouse and the G. Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex caught fire. This enterprise repairs and modernizes Russian military aircraft.

Rostov Region Governor Yuriy Slyusar announced damage to two apartment buildings and three private houses, an educational institution, a commercial building, a gas pipe, agricultural enterprise warehouses, a store, and an Ozon warehouse.

Meanwhile, in Syzran, Samara Oblast, drones attacked a local oil refinery. After the strike, a fire broke out in the industrial area of the enterprise, and several burning areas were recorded.

The Governor of the Samara Region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, confirmed the drone attack and announced the damage to one of the industrial enterprises, but did not specify which facility was in question.

Syzran Oil Refinery is part of the Russian Rosneft. The plant processes up to 7–8.9 million tons of oil per year and produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen and other petroleum products. The enterprise is important for providing the Russian army with fuel.

Another attack occurred in Mikhailovka, Volgograd Oblast. There, explosions were heard on the territory of the Sebryakovcement plant, in particular near cement kiln No. 5. After the explosion, thick smoke was visible above the plant, and firefighters were sent to the plant.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the 92N6 radar station of the Russian S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system in Sochi . Storage, training and launch sites for drones and other Russian military facilities were also hit.
