On the morning of August 26, powerful explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea, causing panic among local residents, especially in the town of Dzhankoy. In the center of Dzhankoy, a Russian electronic warfare system allegedly shot down a drone. Firefighters, ambulances, and security forces arrived at the scene.
This was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.
Eyewitnesses also reported thick smoke rising over the city. According to the channel’s subscribers, the likely target was an oil depot located near the Dzhankoy railway station.
At the same time, explosions were recorded in the village of Krasnogvardiyske, 26 kilometers from Dzhankoy. There, according to preliminary data, an attack on the substation of the Urozhayna railway station took place. As a result of the incident, 13 settlements in the Krasnogvardiyske district were left without electricity. Electricity is planned to be restored within three hours.
Published photos from the scene show railway tracks and overhead power lines, with black smoke rising above them, indicating the extent of the damage.
At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of seven drones over the territory of Crimea between 7:00 and 7:30 in the morning.
The situation in occupied Crimea remains tense, and the details of the incidents are being clarified.
It should be noted that on August 21 , the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine disrupted the logistics of the occupiers in temporarily occupied Crimea by striking a Russian railway train.
We will remind you that on the night of August 9-10, 2025 , the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a powerful Soviet-Russian radar “Skala-M” in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea . The elimination of this facility will significantly reduce the enemy’s ability to use aviation to strike Ukraine.
