On the night of April 20, drones struck the city of Tuapse in Russia’s Krasnodar Territory, targeting a seaport and an oil refinery. The attack sparked a large-scale fire, leaving one person dead and another injured, marking the second such strike on the area within a week.

This is reported by Russian media.

According to eyewitnesses, a series of explosions was heard in the Tuapse, Gelendzhik, and Anapa areas on the night of the attack. After that, a large-scale fire broke out in the Tuapse seaport.

The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev, confirmed the attack and reported on the consequences.

“One person was killed, and another was injured as a result of the attack,” Kondratyev said.

According to preliminary data, gas pipes and windows in several buildings were also damaged.

At the same time, analysts from the Astra Telegram channel recorded more than 10 fire centers at the Tuapse Oil Refinery’s tank farm.

It is noted that this is the second attack on the enterprise in the past week. Earlier, on the night of April 16, the oil refinery was also hit, after which the fire lasted for several days.

As of now, there are no official comments from the Ukrainian side regarding this attack.

Recall that the Defense Forces of Ukraine launched a missile strike on Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, Russia. The defense industry complex “Atlant Aero,” which produces “Molniya” drones and components for “Orion” drones, was hit.

By the way, on the night of April 18, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck four important oil refining facilities of the Russian Federation.
