Drones attacked a military airfield and a refinery in Russia: fires broke out

On the night of Thursday, September 17, drones attacked several regions of Russia. In Rostov-on-Don, a fire likely broke out at a military airfield, and in Yaroslavl, the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery caught fire.
The consequences of the attack were reported by ASTRA and Exilenova+.
According to ASTRA, in Rostov-on-Don, after the announcement of the UAV danger, local residents began posting videos of a large fire. OSINT analysis indicates that the fire occurred on the territory of the Rostov-on-Don – Central military airfield. One of the fire centers is located in the area of the aircraft parking lot.
In Yaroslavl, the Slavneft-YANOS refinery caught fire during the attack. Russian Governor Mikhail Yevraev confirmed that the refinery was damaged, and firefighting efforts are underway at the facility.

According to him, Russian air defense allegedly shot down 65 drones over the region.
Also in Yaroslavl, falling debris shattered windows in several apartment buildings and damaged cars. According to local authorities, there were no deaths or injuries.
As reported the day before, the Defense Forces hit a Su-24 aircraft in Saki, a launch site for strike drones in the Donetsk region, and other Russian targets.
As a reminder, the Syzran and Saratov refineries in Russia have halted oil processing after attacks by Ukrainian drones. One of the refineries could remain out of service for at least a month.
