In the Stavropol region of Russia, the chemical plant “Nevinnomyssk Azot” was attacked – an object of critical importance for the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrey Kovalenko, reported this on Telegram .
The plant was hit by unknown drones. The plant annually produces up to a million tons of ammonia and more than a million tons of ammonium nitrate, which are key components for the manufacture of explosives – in particular, artillery shells, land mines and rocket charges, actively used by Russia in the war against Ukraine.
In addition, Nevinnomyssky Azot produces melamine, methanol, acetic acid and potassium nitrate – dual-use substances widely used in military chemistry. Since 2024, the plant has also produced specialized water-soluble fertilizers adapted to the needs of the Russian defense industry.
