On the night of March 16, drones attacked an oil depot in the city of Labinsk, Krasnodar Territory, Russia. A fire broke out at the facility and heavy smoke was recorded.

Information about the threat of drones in the Krasnodar Territory began to appear after midnight. Local residents were warned of the danger and urged to exercise caution.

“A drone hazard has been declared in the Krasnodar Territory. Residents are asked to remain calm and avoid open spaces. There is a risk of falling UAV debris. Be careful!” the message says.

After that, videos posted by local residents began to appear online. The footage shows a large fire at the oil depot and columns of black smoke rising above the industrial area.

Later, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory confirmed the drone attack on the facility in Labinsk. According to them, an outbreak occurred on the territory of the oil depot.

“In the Labinsk industrial zone, as a result of a UAV attack, an outbreak occurred on the territory of an oil depot. According to preliminary information, there are no victims. 4 crews, personnel of fire and rescue units, and specialists of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory are involved in extinguishing the fire,” the operational headquarters reported.

In the morning, local residents also shared new photos showing that the facility attacked at night continues to burn.

Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, where Labinsk is located, is used as a logistics hub, supplying fuel to Russian troops heading south.
