The fire at the Moscow Oil Refinery was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko.
According to him, despite the concentration of air and missile defense systems around the Russian capital, the attack still reached its target.
Meanwhile, an oil depot in the village of Poltavskaya, Krasnodar Krai, caught fire after a drone attack. Russian authorities said the fire was caused by debris from a drone falling onto the facility. 32 rescuers and seven pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The attack also temporarily closed the road between Poltava village and Trudobelikovsky farm. Special and emergency services were on the scene.
It is known that the oil depot in Poltava village is an important link in the logistics of oil products between the oil refineries of the Lukoil company and the network of gas stations. Attacks on Russia’s oil infrastructure have been ongoing for several months.
