Drones attacked Leningrad region: almost 40 flights were delayed in the region

On Saturday, August 23, drones attacked the Leningrad Region, causing Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg to temporarily cease operations.
This was announced by the regional governor, Alexander Drozdenko, and the Russian North-West Transport Prosecutor’s Office.
In particular, it is noted that temporary restrictions were introduced at the airport, as a result of which 20 departing flights and 19 landing flights were delayed.
According to the regional governor, Russian air defense allegedly managed to destroy several drones.
“Given the current situation regarding the number of UAVs in the airspace of the Leningrad Region, I ask you to refrain from being near industrial zones and enterprises, as well as visiting public places,” he urged.
As a reminder, on July 27, drones attacked Russia, in particular the Leningrad region came under attack . As it became known, about 70 flights were delayed or completely canceled due to the air threat.
