On the night of December 15, unknown drones attacked the Russian Federation, in particular, explosions were heard in the Moscow region and the Russian capital.

This was reported by local Telegram channels.

It is reported that loud explosions were heard by residents of the Istra district of Moscow. More than 10 drones were spotted near the city at night.

According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the Russian air defense system allegedly shot down 21 UAVs flying towards the capital.

“Emergency services specialists are working at the site of the debris fall,” he wrote.

In addition, residents of the settlements of Kashira and Kolomna complained about the explosions. However, there is currently no data on the damage to objects.

Instead, due to drone attacks, the Russians shut down two airports — Domodedovo and Zhukovsky — twice overnight. Now, the restrictions have been lifted and air traffic has resumed.

Recall that earlier, the plane of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was unable to land in Moscow , because the airspace in the city was closed due to a drone attack.
