Drones attacked occupied Crimea and an oil depot in the Krasnodar Territory

On the night of Thursday, June 25, drones attacked temporarily occupied Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. Explosions were reported in several areas of the peninsula in Crimea, and a fire broke out at an oil depot in the village of Poltavskaya.

This is reported by local Telegram channels and monitoring resources.

Explosions were heard in Sevastopol, Simferopol, Saki, Yevpatoria, Yalta, as well as in Pervomaysky, Krasnoperekopsky and Simferopol districts. There were reports of Russian air defense and an attack on energy infrastructure.

After that, power outages occurred in some areas of Crimea. Monitoring channels wrote that the Tavriysk and Balaklava thermal power plants could have been hit. There was also information about an explosion near the Kacha military airfield.

Meanwhile, in the village of Poltavskaya in the Krasnodar Territory, a local oil depot caught fire after a drone attack. According to local channels, the fire engulfed three tanks, some of which were filled with fuel.

This is the second attack on the facility in June. The previous fire at the oil depot occurred on June 16.

JSC “Poltava Oil Terminal” is one of the major logistics hubs in the region. The enterprise handles significant volumes of gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, and other petroleum products, which are supplied to the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea.

There were no official comments from the Russian authorities regarding the consequences of the attacks at the time of publication.

As a reminder, on the night of June 22, drones attacked Moscow, the Moscow region, and temporarily occupied Crimea. The Russian capital announced the operation of air defense and temporary restrictions on airport operations, while Crimea reported strikes on the Tavria TPP and the building of the Russian FSB border service.

As previously reported, on the night of Tuesday, June 16, drones attacked fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia. In particular, a fire was reported at the Moscow Oil Refinery and a fire at an oil depot in the Krasnodar Territory.
