On the night of August 30, drones attacked one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in Kirishi, Leningrad Oblast, as well as military airfields in Rostov Oblast and Krasnodar Krai.

This was reported by the Telegram channels Astra and Exilenova+.

Specifically, a fire likely broke out at the Kirishinefteorgsintez Oil Refinery in the Leningrad Region. Eyewitnesses are sharing footage of the massive blaze.

Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko confirmed a drone attack on the region and claimed that 30 drones had been shot down.

Kirishinefteorgsintez is one of Russia’s largest oil refineries. The plant has been the target of drone attacks on numerous occasions. Specifically, after strikes in May, the plant halted operations due to damage and a fire.

Attacks on two Russian military airfields were also reported overnight.

In particular, explosions followed by fire and detonation, according to local sources, occurred in the area of the airfield in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai.

In addition, local residents reported an attack on the Millerovo military airfield in the Rostov region.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that during the night, Russian air defense systems allegedly shot down 494 drones.
