Drones attacked petrochemical plants in Russia and an energy facility in Crimea

On the night of June 12, drones attacked several important facilities in Russia and occupied Crimea. Petrochemical plants in the Samara region and Tatarstan, as well as energy infrastructure in Simferopol, were hit.
This is reported by Russian Telegram channels, local residents, and OSINT analysts.
According to preliminary data, drones may have attacked a local thermal power plant in temporarily occupied Simferopol. After a series of explosions, power outages began in various areas of the city, and eyewitnesses recorded a fire near the facility.
Meanwhile, in the Samara region, the Togliattikauchuk chemical plant in Togliatti was hit. Local residents reported several explosions, after which thick black smoke rose above the plant.
Another target of the attack was a petrochemical complex in Nizhny Kamsk, Tatarstan. After explosions, a fire broke out on the territory of one of the largest enterprises in the Russian petrochemical industry. Footage of a large-scale fire and smoke over the industrial zone spread online.
There were also reports of Russian air defense operations and temporary restrictions at the airports of Kazan and Nizhny Kamsk due to the threat of drone strikes.
At the time of publication, the Russian authorities had not provided detailed information about the consequences of the attacks. Data on the extent of damage to facilities and the results of the strikes are being clarified.
As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, June 11, explosions were heard in several regions of Russia and on the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. There are reports of a drone attack on an oil refinery in the Krasnodar Territory, as well as a series of strikes on military and logistical facilities in Crimea.
