Drones attacked the Grushovaya tank farm in Novorossiysk: what is known

On the night of June 8, drones attacked facilities in Novorossiysk. As a result of the strike, a tank farm on the territory of the “Grushovaya” industrial site, which is part of the “Sheskharis” transshipment complex, caught fire.

According to the publication, at night, residents of Novorossiysk reported about fifty explosions, after which a fire broke out in the city.
According to an analysis of the released footage and satellite images, the industrial site “Grushovaya” (also known as “Grushovaya Balka”) was under attack. Video of the fire was filmed from the vineyard area on the southern coast of the bay, approximately 11 km from the site of the fire.
The “Grushovaya” industrial site is the largest tank farm of the Sheskharis transshipment complex of Chornomortransneft JSC. It is located in the village of Grushova Balka behind the Markothsky Ridge, approximately 12 km from Novorossiysk. According to open data, the area of the facility is about 212–213 hectares. On its territory there are dozens of tanks for storing oil and oil products with a total volume of over 1.2 million cubic meters.
“Grushovaya” is connected to the “Sheskharis” sea terminal by a system of technological pipelines and tunnels, through which oil and petroleum products are transported to the places of loading onto tankers.
In particular, the Sheskharis transshipment complex is the end point of the main oil pipelines of the Russian company Transneft in the Krasnodar Territory. The facility provides reception, storage and export shipment of oil and oil products to sea tankers.
Previously , “Pryamiy” reported that on June 4 and on the night of June 5, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military facilities of Russian troops in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in the border areas of the Russian Federation. The results of previous strikes on enemy infrastructure were also confirmed.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces confirmed the destruction of a number of important facilities on the territory of Russia and temporarily occupied territories on the night of June 3. These were strikes on oil, military, and defense infrastructure, some of which were accompanied by fires and explosions.
