Drones attacked the Sverdlov plant in Russia: footage of the consequences has emerged
On the night of Wednesday, August 19, drones attacked the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia, where one of the aggressor country’s large defense factories is located. After the attack, thick smoke was noticed over the city, and the source of the smoke could be on the territory of the Sverdlov plant.
ASTRA reports this, citing footage and eyewitness accounts.
At night, residents of Dzerzhinsk began posting videos of the massive drone attack. The footage shows numerous explosions and thick smoke over the city.
ASTRA OSINT analysts suggest that the drones could have attacked the territory of the Sverdlov Plant. According to their assessment, this is where the source of the smoke probably originated.
At the same time, there is currently no official information from the Russian authorities about the nature of the damage to the enterprise.
The Sverdlov Plant is one of the key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. The enterprise produces explosives and other products for the Russian defense industry.
The plant is of strategic importance for the Russian military-industrial complex and is under sanctions by Ukraine, the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Switzerland.
Thus, if the information about the strike on the enterprise is confirmed, an important object of the Russian defense industry could be under attack.
As reported, a drone hit a warehouse of the Russian marketplace Wildberries in the Moscow region. After the strike, a fire broke out at the facility, which, according to local authorities, was successfully contained.
