On the night of August 13, drones attacked several fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia. Oil refineries in the Volgograd and Krasnodar regions, as well as an oil pumping station in the Bryansk region, were hit.
According to local sources, up to 20 drones were launched in the direction of the Volgograd oil refinery. The results of the attack have not yet been officially confirmed. At the same time, according to the governor of the Volgograd region, Andrey Bocharov, the wreckage of one of the downed drones fell on a 16-story residential building in Volgograd.
In addition, the city’s airport has temporarily suspended operations, with flights to Moscow and Egyptian resorts delayed.
It is worth noting that this refinery was already the target of drone attacks at the end of winter – on January 31 and February 3. Then the enterprise was forced to stop work.
In parallel, on the night of August 13, there were also reports of a drone attack on an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai. This facility has been repeatedly hit over the past year and a half.
Another strike was carried out on an oil pumping station in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. This is the Unecha Linear Production and Dispatching Station of the Druzhba oil pipeline, which is an important section of the supply of Russian oil to Belarus, the Baltic countries, and Hungary through the territory of Ukraine.
As a reminder, on the night of August 12, the Russian city of Stavropol came under attack by drones . According to Russian media, loud explosions were heard in the city, and local residents reported fires at industrial enterprises.
As reported, a major drone attack in the Saratov region has shut down one of Russia’s key oil refining facilities. The plant, owned by Rosneft, temporarily stopped receiving crude oil after the strike.
