Drones attacked Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region: a fire broke out in the port area

On the night of September 1, the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region of Russia was attacked by drones. After the strike, a fire broke out in the port area, and damage was also recorded.
This is reported by Russian Telegram channels, OSINT communities, and the Russian authorities.
It is noted that emergency services are working on the scene, and the repelling of the attack was still ongoing at the time of the report.
At the same time, it is currently unknown which object in the port area was damaged.
Local authorities said that 37 drones were allegedly destroyed over the Leningrad region overnight.
Ust-Luga is one of Russia’s largest ports on the Baltic Sea. Its terminals handle significant volumes of oil, petroleum products, coal, and mineral fertilizers.
The port area is home to large industrial and transshipment complexes, including facilities of Novatek and Eurochem. Due to its strategic importance, the port has repeatedly been the target of drone attacks.
It was previously reported that on the night of August 14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the NOVATEK-Ust-Luga complex in Slobodka, Leningrad Oblast, Russia. A fire broke out on the site, and two processing plants were previously damaged.
