Drones attacked Volgograd: after the explosions, a large refinery caught fire

A series of explosions were heard in Volgograd, Russia, on the night of Friday, May 29. Local residents reported a drone attack and a fire near an oil refinery.
According to eyewitnesses, thick smoke and fire were visible over the city after the explosions. Russian authorities confirmed the massive drone attack and said that one of the drones allegedly hit a residential building. According to official information, there were no injuries.
At the same time, photos and videos have appeared online showing a fire at the Volgograd refinery “Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka”. This is one of the largest oil refineries in the region and an important facility in Russia’s fuel infrastructure.
This is not the first time the company has come under drone attack. It was previously attacked in February of this year.
In addition to the refinery, the area near the Titan-Barricades plant also attracted attention. It was near this enterprise that, according to Russian authorities, one of the drones crashed.
Titan-Barricades is considered one of the key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. It produces launchers for the Yars, Topol-M, Sarmat, and Iskander-M missile systems.
There is currently no official information about possible damage to this plant.
As a reminder, on the night of Wednesday, May 27, explosions were heard again in Russia. Several facilities in the Krasnodar Territory and Rostov Region were attacked at once . After the drone strikes, large-scale fires broke out, and footage of thick smoke and fire was published on social networks.
As reported, Ukrainian drones attacked the Vtorovo linear production and dispatching station in the Vladimir region of Russia. After the strike, a large-scale fire broke out at the facility.
