On the night of November 6, explosions and fires broke out at oil refineries in Volgograd and Simferopol. Russian social media reported drone attacks and strikes on industrial facilities.

Russian Telegram channels write about this.

The first explosions were heard after 11:00 p.m. in the Volgograd region. Local residents reported the threat of drones and posted videos of the explosions.

Later, the governor of the region, Andrey Bocharov, said that the forces of the Russian Defense Ministry were “repelling a massive drone attack,” and that falling debris had caused a fire in the industrial zone of the Krasnoarmiysky district, where the Lukoil-Volgogradnefteperebka refinery is located. According to him, the fire has been contained, and emergency services are working on the scene.

At around 02:30, explosions and a fire were also recorded in Simferopol. According to the public service “Crimean Wind”, the fire occurred at the “Krymnaftozbut” oil depot near the village of Bitumne, before which eyewitnesses heard drones flying overhead.

Social media users reported that explosions could be heard even on the southern coast of Crimea, and smoke rose in the Gvardiyskyi area after several “arrivals”.

Official Russian structures have not yet commented on the nature of the damage and the causes of the explosions.

As a reminder, on the night of November 5 , residents of the Russian city of Oryol reported a series of powerful explosions and bright flashes in the sky.

As reported, as a result of the attack by Ukrainian drones on Russian infrastructure, the Black Sea port of Tuapse stopped exports, and the oil refinery stopped processing crude oil.
