The Ministry of Defense has allocated an additional UAH 2.1 billion for the purchase of drones and equipment for combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace.

This was reported by Denys Shmyhal.

Shmyhal said that since the launch of the platform, the Ministry of Defense has already allocated almost UAH 6.3 billion for such purchases. According to him, the mechanism works quickly and allows you to avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.

The Marketplace gives units the opportunity to independently select the necessary equipment to perform combat missions, while the Defense Procurement Agency takes on all support.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the new funding will help the brigades obtain everything they need to effectively defend Ukraine.

It was previously reported that Ukraine will receive over $70 million in additional military support from the governments of Australia and New Zealand.

As a reminder, the Netherlands is preparing a new support package for Ukraine – the government will allocate another 250 million euros for the purchase of American weapons within the framework of the PURL initiative.
