A series of powerful explosions were heard in the Belorichensky district of Russia’s Krasnodar region on the night of September 25. According to local residents, at least six strikes occurred after 02:30.
This is reported by Russian media.
Witnesses reported bright flashes in the sky, possible air defense systems being used, and loud detonations near the city of Belorechensk. The main target of the attack was likely an industrial enterprise, a mineral fertilizer plant owned by EuroChem-Bilorechenskiye Minedobriva LLC, part of the large Russian company EuroChem.
The plant specializes in the production of phosphate, nitrogen, and complex mineral fertilizers and is one of the key enterprises of this profile in southern Russia.
The Russian authorities have already warned the population about the threat of new drone attacks, in particular in Krasnodar and Tuapse, and urged residents to stay in shelters.
There are currently no official comments on the nature of the damage and possible consequences.
As reported, on Wednesday, September 24, naval drones attacked the port of Tuapse in Krasnodar Krai. Sirens sounded and explosions echoed in the city.
