On the night of December 18, drones attacked the oil tanker Valery Horachkov in the Russian port of Rostov-on-Don.

This was reported by the Berdyansk City Military Administration.

The impact caused a fire on it. In addition, two people were killed and three others were injured.

As noted, the vessel is on the list of tankers of the Russian Federation’s “shadow fleet”, which the Kremlin uses to transport petroleum products, circumventing international sanctions.

It has been spotted repeatedly in the temporarily occupied ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk. The Kremlin used this tanker to export Ukrainian resources.

It was previously reported that near Dakar, the capital of Senegal, the Mersin oil tanker, which was transporting diesel fuel and has ties to Russia, suffered four external damages.

As a reminder, two tankers from Russia’s shadow fleet, which are under international sanctions, exploded in the Black Sea.
