Drones hit an educational institution in Sumy: there is destruction and a fire

On the night of September 11, a building of one of the local educational institutions was hit by an enemy attack in the Zarichny district of Sumy. After the strike, a fire broke out, and serious damage was recorded to the facility and adjacent infrastructure.

According to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Hryhorov, the attack was carried out using drones. As a result of the hits, a fire broke out in the building of the institution, vehicles were damaged, and windows in nearby multi-story residential buildings were broken.

Acting Mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar confirmed that two explosions occurred in the city. According to preliminary information, there were no deaths or injuries.

The State Emergency Service reports that rescuers quickly arrived at the scene of the incident and extinguished the fire. Partial destruction of the buildings of the educational institution and damage to surrounding objects were recorded.

Windows were broken in several nearby residential buildings, and cars parked on the premises were damaged. Rescue services also conducted an examination of the impact site.

As a reminder, on the night of September 10 , Russia carried out another combined air attack on the territory of Ukraine, using both strike drones and cruise missiles . Several Ukrainian cities came under fire.
