Drones hit defense enterprises in the Moscow region and Tula region: consequences of the attack

On the night of June 15, drones attacked facilities in the Moscow and Tula regions of Russia. Fires were recorded after the strikes, and OSINT analysts reported possible damage to enterprises of the Russian defense industry.

In the Moscow region , explosions and columns of black smoke were recorded in Reutov after a drone attack. According to Russian media, the territory of the Mirital enterprise, located approximately 600 meters from the territory of JSC VPK NVO Masinobuduvannya and the aerospace faculty of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, caught fire.
Local media also reported explosions near the NVO Mashinostroitelnyi , which is one of the largest enterprises in Russia’s rocket and space industry. The enterprise is engaged in the development of the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile, the Avangard missile complex, the Bastion coastal complex, space systems, and other dual-use products.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the destruction of four drones heading towards the Russian capital. Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov did not comment on the attack.
Also on the night of June 15, drones attacked the Tula region. The probable targets were the industrial site of the Central Design Bureau of Apparatus Building JSC in the village of Maslovo and a production facility with a helipad near the village of Yamny.
JSC “Central Design Bureau of Apparatus Building” is part of the “High-Precision Complexes” holding of the Rostec state corporation and specializes in the development and production of radar systems, in particular antenna modules for the “Pantsir” anti-aircraft missile and gun complexes. The NASA FIRMS service recorded two fire centers in the areas of the villages of Yamny and Maslovo.
The governor of the Tula region reported that three people were killed and three others were injured in a drone attack in the Tula city district. According to him, private residential buildings and commercial facilities in Yamny and Maslovo were damaged.
“As a result of a UAV attack in the Tula city district, three people were killed and three more were injured,” the governor of the Tula region said.
By the way, on the night of June 12, drones attacked several important facilities in Russia and occupied Crimea . Petrochemical plants in the Samara region and Tatarstan, as well as energy infrastructure in Simferopol, were hit.
As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, June 11, explosions were heard in several regions of Russia and on the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. There are reports of a drone attack on an oil refinery in the Krasnodar Territory, as well as a series of strikes on military and logistical facilities in Crimea.
