Drones hit energy and factories in Russia: what is known about the attack

On the night of September 24, Russian regions were attacked by drones from several directions at once – the strikes fell on the Kursk and Belgorod regions, as well as the city of Taganrog in Rostov Oblast. As a result of the attacks, settlements were left without electricity, there were injuries, and industrial infrastructure was damaged.

This is reported by local Telegram channels and the governors of the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

In Kursk Oblast, drones hit energy infrastructure in the city of Lgov, leaving most of the town without power. Residents are also reporting power outages in neighboring Rylsk, where explosions were also heard.

In Belgorod, the Frez plant, an enterprise that, according to open sources, specializes in the production of industrial tools, was attacked. After the attack, a fire broke out, and at least five people were injured.

In Taganrog, located 100 km from the front line, locals reported a series of explosions, but Russian authorities have not yet released official comments on the consequences.

As a reminder, in the Belgorod region of Russia , a drone attack destroyed a bridge near the village of Staroseltsevo , which was part of the logistics routes of the Russian military.

As reported, the energy crisis in Russia is deepening , in particular, as a result of a fire on September 22, the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant stopped working.
