Drones hit Rostov and Bataysk: a ship caught fire in the port

On the night of December 18, the Rostov region of the Russian Federation was attacked by drones. Rostov-on-Don, Bataysk, and Taganrog were hit.
This was announced by the Governor of the Rostov Region, Yuri Slyusar.
According to him, the attack in the port of Rostov damaged a ship, after which a fire broke out. Later, local authorities noted that it was a cargo ship that was near the pier. According to preliminary data, two crew members were killed, three more were injured.
The mayor of Rostov-on-Don, Alexander Skryabin, said that a fire is being extinguished on a tanker that was hit. According to him, there are dead and injured crew members among the crew. According to Russian media, a spill of oil products was avoided.
In addition, the consequences of the attack were recorded in Bataysk. Seven people were injured there: four received medical assistance on the spot, three were hospitalized. One of the victims later died in the hospital.
Local residents reported explosions in Rostov-on-Don and Bataysk at around 11:30 p.m. Photos and videos of the explosions and the work of Russian air defense appeared on social networks. Power outages were also recorded in a number of settlements in the region.
On the morning of December 18, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the alleged destruction of 47 drones over various regions of Russia overnight.
As a reminder, on the night of December 17, drones attacked several regions of Russia, including the Krasnodar Territory, where an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban was hit . Air defenses were in place in the city, and local residents reported a series of explosions.
