Ukrainian drones have again struck a strategic facility on Russian territory – this time an oil pumping station in the city of Unecha, Bryansk region. The facility is part of the Druzhba oil pipeline system.

The attack was reported by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert Brovdy, known as Magyar.

According to him, the strike was carried out by drones of the 14th UAV Regiment. After the hits, a fire broke out on the territory of the facility. A video from the scene was posted online.

The Unecha oil pumping station is a key link in the system of transporting Russian oil to European countries.

In addition, drones also carried out a massive attack on Volgograd. Eyewitnesses recorded more than a dozen powerful explosions – drones flew low over the city, a distinct sound of engines could be heard, and bright flashes appeared in the sky over the Volga.

Local residents also reported strong explosions in nearby Volzhsky. Falling debris set dry grass ablaze in southern Volgograd. There are no reports of injuries at this time.

In connection with the attack, a special security protocol codenamed “Carpet” has been introduced at the Volgograd airport, which involves restricting air traffic.

As a reminder, on the night of August 18 , the Unmanned Systems Forces, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the Russian Nikolskoye oil pumping station in the Tambov region.

As reported, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced that on August 19, the Druzhba oil pipeline, which had completely stopped operating due to attacks by Ukrainian drones, had resumed supplies.
