On the evening of October 2, the appearance of unknown drones was recorded near one of the largest airports in Europe, Munich. Due to the threat of an air incident, the airport temporarily suspended operations.

According to Der Spiegel, the runways were quickly closed shortly after the first reports of drones were received. As a result of the incident, about 20 flights had to be canceled.

“The federal police reported that several people reported a drone near the airport. Later, reports of drones appearing directly above the airport area were received,” the material says.

It is unclear whether it was one drone or several. Law enforcement officers conducted extensive patrols around the airport, but were unable to locate the drones or the individuals involved.

Police and security services are continuing their investigation, and authorities are not ruling out the possibility of a deliberate provocation or a vigilance check.

It should be noted that on the evening of September 25 , Aalborg Airport, located in North Jutland, was temporarily closed due to the recorded presence of unknown drones in its airspace.

As a reminder, one of the main runways in the Netherlands was temporarily closed due to the appearance of a drone near Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. The incident created a serious threat to flight safety.

As reported, on the evening of September 30 , an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle was spotted flying near the airport in the Norwegian city of Brønneisund.
